In order to promote the mouthwatering local seafood, Newburyport FISH will hold Oysterfest In The Port, which will bring together oyster farmers and fish sellers from all across New England. For attendees over 21, Riverwalk Brewing craft beers and Grand Trunk Wine wine will be available for extra cost. Live music, oyster clothing, and more!

One admittance into the event as well as 18 oysters for sampling are included with the event ticket. There will be a number of complimentary oyster-related tastes available, including poke, chowder, horseradish, seaweed salad, and more. Oysters and other chargeable extras may be added to your ticket in advance or at the door. Only in 2023 will caviar add-ons be offered for pre-sale. If you would like a caviar pairing,

has a “learn-to-shuck” station where you may gauge your proficiency. We’ll have the top shucking gear, including caps, shirts, hoodies, and shucking tools, for sale. By donating all of the shucked oyster shells, this event will help the Mass Oyster Project in part.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION

You will get 18 (a dozen and a half) oyster sampling tickets as part of your event ticket when you check in at registration. Other culinary sampling, including those of chowda, poke, seaweed salad, and others, will not need tickets. There are several food products that may be purchased separately as well.
Rain or shine, this event will go on. We advise layering your clothing since October weather in New England may be erratic.
NOTE: At event registration, attendees must provide a valid driver’s licence or other form of identification in order to buy beer or wine. They must also get a wristband.
Despite the fact that we like animals, dogs are not allowed at the event.
Event Registration: The parking lot’s left side, nearest to Brown Sugar Thai Restaurant, will be where you may register for the event. Please have your paper or mobile (QR code) eventbrite ticket handy. Signage will be everywhere.
Please make sure you bring a credit card with you so you may make any more purchases as the event will not accept cash.
There is NO onsite parking available for this event.
