About this Event DIY Cheeseboard class 2023
All cheese lovers are invited!
In this session, Alice Bergen Phillips, the proprietor of Cheese monster, will teach us how to assemble a board in detail after leading us through a guided cheese tasting. A company called Cheese monster specialises in artisanal cheese and focuses on cheese education, cheese display construction, store and restaurant consulting, as well as sporadic cheese writing and recipe creation.
Each student in the session will assemble a cheeseboard using a variety of regional and artisanal cheeses and food combinations. The course covers selecting the components for your cheeseboard as well as cutting and arranging the ingredients with an emphasis on colour, texture, and design. Alice will also talk about the ideal “bits” to sample from the cheese board and provide some advice on food photography. Additionally, unlimited free house red and white wines will be available during the class*.
Unless you eat everything here first, in which case there’s no guilt in that, each participant will depart with their own carefully designed to-go cheeseboard during this 90-120 minute session.
VIP attendees will also get a second cheese and a wooden cheeseboard to take home.
You may also include charcuterie on your board. Please be sure to choose while purchasing tickets. There are two meats in this add-on.
