The Trolley The trolley is a fully enclosed vehicle with climate control. Cushions are included for the seat bases. They do not have backs. Hopelands Gardens and the Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame & Museum are conveniently located around halfway through the tour, providing a convenient opportunity to use the facilities. Only water is permitted on the trolley, no food or drink of any kind. The length of the tour makes it inappropriate for very young children. Due to maintenance issues and/or one-off events, the trolley service may be unavailable.
The City of Aiken Visitors Center & Train Museum (406 Park Ave SE, Aiken) is the meeting point for the Historic Aiken Trolley Tour every Saturday at 10 a.m. Tickets sell out two to three weeks in advance, therefore making a reservation is highly recommended.
We ask that you check in no later than 9:45 a.m. for the trolley tour (tickets can be resold to standby patrons if not claimed by 9:55 am).
You can get a refund up until the day before the event.
Wheelchair accessibility is provided through a lift installed on the trolley. Wheelchairs add an extra minute or two to the loading process and use up two parking spots (one of which must be reserved manually by the trolley staff). The extra room is available at no extra cost. However, if you have any special requirements, please call 803-293-7846 (Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) in advance so that we can make arrangements!
