Experience the Texas Outback while sipping award-winning wines produced on a working ranch.
If you’re in the Fredericksburg, Texas area, stop by Grapetown Vineyard and Farm to see how a real farm operates.
Beginning at the Old Bankersmith Saloon and Dance Hall, your journey will take you through the city’s rich history.
Depending on the size of your party, a private driver will take you on a behind-the-scenes tour of our exotic animals and ranch operations via our brand new Zebra Tram before your wine tasting.
Exotic animals such as camels, zebras, alpacas, bison, and longhorn may be fed by visitors.
In addition to Boer, Pony, Nigerian Dwarf, African Pygmy, and Saanen Dairy Goats, we also have a small herd of Donkeys.

We can’t wait for you since it’s slowing down everyone else.
Unfortunately, being a farm/ranch, most of our sections are gravel or grass, so visitors in wheelchairs may have to skip out on seeing some of the garden. Send us an email and we’ll do all we can to set up a private tour for you.
No exceptions will be made to this policy.
Unfortunately, there will be no refunds for anyone who cannot make it to the tour.
Instead, we’ll provide you with tickets to use at a later date.

Pricing:
To those of legal drinking age, your ticket price also includes a Wine Tasting Flight of four samples.
Children under the age of one who are being carried by an adult are admitted free of charge; however, all children, regardless of age, who are walking or in strollers, must obtain a ticket.
Groups of 10 or more should contact us in advance at info@blackstonetexas.com.
Those over the age of 18 taking their kids to a farm need to have the adults in their party sign a liability release.
If you don’t make a reservation in advance Safari Wine Tour we can’t promise a tour will be available.
Tour Duration
The duration of the trip ranges from around 90 to 120 minutes, depending on the number of questions answered and the time spent sampling wine.
Please inform your tour guide at the outset if you only have a limited amount of time to spend on the trip.
Getting There and the Climate:
The bulk of the tour is conducted outdoors, so tours go on rain or shine in Safari Wine Tour.
If rain is in the forecast, or if you just want to protect yourself from the sun, you may want to carry an umbrella.
In consideration of the fact that this is a working farm, we ask that you refrain from wearing flip-flops or sandals.
