You may as well have fun now that you’re on Santa’s naughty list, right?

Put on your worst Christmas sweater, get up some pals, and ride the Traditional Christmas Trolley or the Grinchmas Bus to see some of the most spectacular Christmas Lights Metro Detroit has to offer!!!! One way or another, it’s going to be a fantastic night out!

GRINCHMAS BUS B AND GRINCHMAS BUS C ARE LUXURY CHARTER BUSES, AND TROLLEY A IS A TROLLEY. EVERY CAR WILL BE adorned with a festive Christmas theme. (A Trolley can hold up to 24 people. About 35 people can fit in Bus B. Traveling on Bus C with 55 Other People)

 

**If you’d want to reserve the full Trolley or Bus for your own use, you’ll need to buy all of the available tickets (seats). There are a total of 24 available seats on the Trolley, 35 on Bus B, and 55 on Bus C.

We’ve got three different packages for you to choose from this year! The Detroit Zoo’s Wild Lights and the Canterbury Village Holiday Stroll are both included in the price of your ticket. We cannot reschedule groups once tickets have been paid, so please choose your routes carefully.

We recommend the *Rochester Big Bright Light Show, *Christchurch Village Holiday Stroll, and *Campus Martius

November 25th and 26th, December 2nd and 3rd, December 9th and 10th, December 16th and 17th, December 22nd and 23rd

At 5:15 pm, everyone should gather in the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot at 1873 E Big Beaver Rd, Troy, MI 48083 for the meeting. At 5:30pm, we will leave without delay.

Rochester’s Big Bright Light Show is the first stop on your Holiday car tour, and you’ll have about 30 minutes to wander the streets and take in the spectacle of more than 1 million lights.

The second location is the lovely Canterbury Village Holiday Stroll! You may enjoy the Village’s one million holiday lights for an hour and fifteen minutes. Visit Santa, Frosty, Bud the Elf, the Krampus, Jack Frost, and more as they greet guests and pose for photographs in recreations of your favourite holiday settings.

The last stop is in downtown Detroit, where you may get off to spend 45 minutes checking around Campus Martius and seeing Detroit’s enormous Christmas tree. After your time at Campus Martius is over, you’ll board a bus and go back to Troy, arriving there around about 10:30 p.m

Troy, Michigan (Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot, 1873 E Big Beaver Rd, Troy, MI 48083) is where we’ll be getting together at 5:15. At 5:30pm, we will leave without delay.

Rochester’s Big Bright Light Show is the first destination; once there, you’ll have 45 minutes to take in the more than one million lights that line the streets of the city’s central business district.

The second destination is the Detroit Zoo, where you’ll spend around 1.5 hours walking through the zoo while being surrounded by over 5 million LED lights decorating the trees, buildings, and animal statues.

At the very end of your trip, you’ll arrive in downtown Detroit, where you may see the city’s enormous Christmas tree and wander around Campus Martius for 45 minutes. After you’ve finished up at Campus Martius, you’ll go back to Troy; you should get there around about 10:30 p.m.

*Sunday Only! Holiday Stroll in Canterbury Village and the Campus Martius Area

These are the timeline: November 27th, December 4th, December 11th, and December 18th

The gathering will take place at 4:45 pm at the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot at 1874 E Big Beaver Rd, Troy, MI 48083. There will be a quick departure at 5:00 p.m.

 

At the first stop, you may get off and spend about an hour and fifteen minutes in downtown Detroit, where there are a variety of attractions such as the world’s largest Christmas tree, ice skating, exploring Campus Martius, and more.

The journey will culminate in a stroll through a Winter Wonderland at Canterbury Village. Take a leisurely 1.5-hour walk around the Village, which is illuminated by more than a million holiday lights! Experience live Christmas shows, visit holiday scene recreations, and take pictures with real life holiday characters including Frosty, Buddy the Elf, The Grinch, Jack Frost, Santa Claus, and more! After you’ve had your fill of Canterbury Village, you’ll make the trip back to Troy, arriving at about 10 o’clock at night.

Because we cannot control traffic or the weather, the allotted time at each stop is subject to vary.

Please be aware that if you become sick from drinking too much, we will charge the credit card on file $200 to cover the cost of cleaning up the mess.

It is also important to note that this is a 21+ event. A government-issued photo ID is required of ALL guests.

Questions & Answers About the BYOB Holiday Lights Tour

Can you get a refund if you’re unable to make it to the event or you show up late?

Sadly, te answer is “A.” All sales are final. Your ticket is transferable and/or resalable if you are unable to attend the event. To ensure that everyone has a good time at our Christmas party, we will not accept any rude or disrespectful conduct and retain the right to remove anybody from the trolley at any time without a refund.

A: Yes, you may carry food and beverages onto the carts.

  1. A) Yes! Please note that glass containers cannot be brought on the trolleys, but you are welcome to bring food and/or beverages as long as they fit in a compact cooler bag that may be stowed beneath your seat. There is a strict no-drinking policy in effect, so don’t even think of taking a drink from the cart at any of the stops.

Are children welcome at this event?

 

  1. A) This is a ticketed, 21-and-over BYOB event; if you want to bring alcoholic drinks, you must be at least 21 years old and provide a valid government-issued ID at the door.

In case of inclement weather, would the event be postponed?

 

Please note that (A) this event will take place in any weather. If a serious snowfall warning is issued and our trolley companies determine that it is hazardous to operate, we will notify you via email and provide alternatives; nevertheless, we will not be able to offer refunds in these cases.

Can electronic tickets be shown on a mobile device or do printed tickets need to be presented?

 

  1. A) Electronic tickets may be shown in place of paper ones.

Is it possible to catch up with the trip at the following stop if you miss the departure from Troy?

 

If you are running late and miss the trolley’s departure from Troy, stop by any of the other stations along the route and get on. The trip concludes in Troy, where you’ll have to figure out how to get back to your vehicle on your own.

What happens if you don’t make it back to the next event stop by the designated “be back at time”?

 

  1. A) You may take an Uber to the next event and continue with the tour if you miss the trolley and it has already left; however, there will be no reimbursements if you decide not to attend the following event. Please be on time, since our trolleys operate on a tight schedule so that we can give visitors as much time as possible at each event.

Does the trolley have heat?

 

The answer is (a) yes, all trolleys have roofs and heaters.

Is there a place to use the restroom on the trolley?

 

  1. A) There aren’t any loos on the trolley itself, but there are facilities at each of the three event stops.
