American alternative music group Death Cab for Cutie was founded in Bellingham, Washington, in 1997.
Ben Gibbard, Nick Harmer, Jason McGerr, Dave Depper, and Zac Rae make up the band. One of the most intriguing bands to come out of the 2000s indie music movement, Death Cab for Cutie evolved as a side project.
They have received eight Grammy Award nominations. T
he band’s new single “Roman Candles” is out now, and their tenth studio album, “Asphalt Meadows,” will be released on September 16, 22.
Death Cab hasn’t lost its knack for fusing Gibbard’s gentle ruminations with vivacious arrangements that know just when to shine and swing, even after being together for more than a decade.

THE SALT SHED’S CONTEXT
this summer, the 16 on Center will open a new indoor/outdoor performance venue called The Salt Shed.
The Salt Shed, a multifaceted and neighborhood-focused venue, will be located inside Chicago’s famed Morton Salt compound with the aim of becoming a major hub for the arts and culture, with live music at its core.
The Salt Shed will no longer need evidence of immunisation or a COVID test result in order to admit employees, visitors, or performers.
Although they are not necessary, immunizations and masks are strongly advised for all guests.We will respect the particular requests of our artists, and ticket holders will be informed if this modifies our present mask-policy guidelines.
