This year, the Winter Walk of Lights at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens will feature even more illuminated exhibits of flowers, animals, trees, and seasonal scenarios.
The path is 6 miles long.

Friday, November 11, 2022, through Sunday, January 8, 2023, nightly (including holidays), is when you may visit the Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights in 2022. Meadowlark Botanical Gardens is aglow with displays of flowers, animals, illuminated trees, and winter/holiday sceneries, and this year there are even more lights to enjoy. Before you buy tickets, be sure to read the relevant policies carefully.

Meadowlark Botanical Gardens and the other 34 locations in the NOVA Parks system benefit from the money raised by the Winter Walk of Lights. To learn more about the fantastic parks we have here in Northern Virginia, check out www.novaparks.com today.

REGARDING TICKETS:

1. Everyone over the age of two needs a ticket (excluding appreciation night honorees and kids buy one, get one free nights).

Second, there is a strict no-refund policy for purchased tickets. The entire 0.6 mile of the Winter Walk of Lights takes place outside, so it’s accessible come rain or shine. Your ticket purchase will be returned in full if NOVA Parks is forced to cancel a night of the Winter Walk of Lights due to inclement weather. The Eventbrite service fee is not refundable.

Third, enter any discount or promotional codes you may have when choosing your admission time before continuing to checkout. No refunds will be given for tickets so that they can be repurchased at a reduced price. After purchasing tickets, the discount amount is non-refundable.

You can change the day or time of your admission by logging into your account at eventbrite.com before 2:00 p.m. on the original ticket date. The Eventbrite app doesn’t allow ticket transfers. Ticket exchanges must be made on eventbrite.com. Tickets purchased in quantities greater than one cannot be transferred together. Individual ticket transfers will be processed in a random sequence. A single ticket can be transferred at a time on Eventbrite.com, despite the impression that all of your tickets are being moved. Ticket transfers can be made one at a time by logging back into your Eventbrite account, going to your TICKETS page, and then transferring more tickets.

When purchasing tickets, you must choose a date and time to enter. Tickets are valid for access at the specified time only, and ticket holders will not be allowed before the entry time printed on their ticket or more than 30 minutes after the entry time printed on their ticket. No gatherings of any kind are allowed at the Visitor Center. The circle in front of the Visitor Center is where you and your group should gather.

WHEN OPEN AND HOW MUCH TICKETS COST:

Open for ALL Holidays is Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights.

There are strict limits on the number of tickets available for purchase both in advance and at the door.

All sales are final and tickets are only valid for the time of purchase (every 15 minutes.)

Little ones under the age of two can come along without a ticket or payment.

Evening hours (from 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.)

After 9:30pm, doors close and the lights go out.

Tickets can be purchased online for $16 plus Eventbrite’s service fee for those aged 2 and up.

*Adult and child tickets purchased at the venue are $20.

Ongoing from Saturday, December 9, 2022, until Sunday, January 8, 2023

Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

After 9:30pm, doors close and the lights go out.

Online tickets (ages 2 and up) are $18 plus the service fee charged by Eventbrite.

Once online tickets for a specific admission time have sold out, and no longer available on the day of the event (after December 8, 2022)*, no tickets will be offered at the venue (s).

In this regard, PLEASE NOTE:

• Discount, promotional, and discount codes are only available from November 14 through December 8, 2022 (excluding Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and Thanksgiving Day). If you want to make sure that your discount code is applied properly at checkout, view the tutorial video first. Discount codes are not entered during the buying process but rather at the time of entrance. Promotional codes and other discounts cannot be applied after the fact.

A HELPFUL NOTE REGARDING THE ENTRY TIMES ON YOUR TICKETS: Your entry time is listed in the TICKET NAME section of your Eventbrite ticket, not the Event Start Time. For instance, “Admission 6:30”

There will be no exchanges or refunds for purchased tickets. Before the original entrance time, tickets can be exchanged for a new date and time. Tickets for a different performance time may or may not be available. Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable after 2 p.m. on the date of the ticket.

The deadline for ticket exchanges on the dates of the tickets is 2 p.m.

Tickets are nontransferable after the admittance time printed on them has passed.

No, the Eventbrite app does not allow you to reschedule your tickets. Eventbrite.com is the only place where ticket exchanges can be made (on a computer or mobile device).

Tickets can only be transferred individually. Unfortunately, the Eventbrite platform cannot facilitate the transfer of several tickets simultaneously. After each transfer, you must revert to the original ticket order to transfer the next ticket.

Each ticket transfer will be confirmed by email.

Each ticket will remain in its original order after being moved.

HOW TO:

1) to determine if tickets are still available for the new date/time, visit our standard ticket sales homepage. Don’t waste time transferring all of your tickets if the entry time you desire is already full.

2) Visit your Eventbrite account page or click the link in the email confirmation you received to access your ticket order. Determine the new order of things.

To the right of EDIT/TRANSFER, 2. Pick the SEND option.

3) Select a new date (called a “event”) and session time by following the on-screen prompts.

4) through 7 with the next ticket in your original order to complete the transfer. For every ticket, this must be done in its own right.

In order to verify each ticket transfer, a confirmation email will be sent. If you don’t get a confirmation email after each transfer, check your original order to see which tickets weren’t moved.

SAFETY:

• The Visitor Center is not a meeting place for guests. If you’re here to meet other people, we recommend arranging to do so at the grassy areas near the parking lot, and waiting to get in line until everyone in your group has arrived.

The Winter Walk is a one-way trail that is only used during the winter.

To avoid missing your admission time, we ask that you remain in your vehicle.

Please have your digital tickets displayed prominently on your device to facilitate admission. It’s also acceptable to use paper tickets.

EXCITING THINGS!!!

The Sips & Sparkles Shop will sell LED WANS, SABERS, HEADBANDS, and ACCESSORIES, as well as our traditional Winter Walk of Lights decoration.

CATERING BY SIPS & SPARKLES: Hungry? In need of something warm to drink? You should go to SIPS & SPARKLES. Drink some hot cocoa or coffee to warm up. Those over 21 with proper identification can spike their hot drink with some peppermint schnapps or Baileys.

Try some HOT PRETZELS from the PARK STREET EATS FOODTRUCK! A hot, freshly baked pretzel is comforting and delicious. There will be both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available.

After finishing your Winter Walk, you must visit the S’mores Shack. Invest in a s’mores kit and some hot cocoa, and spend some time with your loved ones in front of a crackling fire.

All major credit cards are accepted in addition to cash. No outside food or drink is permitted.

The Visitor Center has restrooms, and there are temporary toilets at the path’s midpoint.

Please be aware that the event will take place outside regardless of the weather. No refunds will be given for purchased tickets. The only time you may change the date of your ticket is before the event starts.

A limited number of spaces are available at no cost. We recommend that you carpool. Keep an eye out for visitors, especially those with young children, who may be making their way through the parking lots.

SECURITY: Please keep to the designated walkways at all times. Please do not walk near or around light displays, as many of them have electrical cords and support lines. Don’t play with the displays or climb the walls. Don’t hesitate to alert the staff to any potential dangers you may have noticed.

Winter Walk is a stunning location for photographs. Remember the good times by taking pictures. Don’t forget to share your images with us and tag us on social media! For your own protection, please stick to the marked trails.

PETS? The Winter Walk of Lights is a leash-free zone for service animals only. The dates of Dog Nights on November 15, 22, 28, 29, December 5, 13, 2022, January 3, 6, and 8, 2023 are the only exception to this rule. Tickets are available only through Eventbrite.com for both dogs and their owners.

The Winter Walk of Lights is open on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve and Day! Why not take a stroll through the festive displays after a hearty Christmas meal? Purchase your tickets in advance online.

to be over the age of 21 to attend?

Yes, all IDs will be examined at the gate, no exceptions. If you are under the age of 21, please do not purchase a ticket.

Are children permitted to attend the event?

There are no children. Call the babysitter ahead of time!
