On September 30 and October 1, 2023, the Waterside District will become the site of the 4th annual Norfolk Mac & Cheese Festival! Join us for a fun event that the whole family can enjoy. There will be plenty of Mac n’ Cheese, live entertainment, eating competitions, and other activities.

Over 15 of the top eateries, food trucks, and chefs in the region will congregate for the Norfolk Mac & Cheese Festival. Prepare to indulge in a mountain of delicious cheese at Virginia’s biggest mac and cheese festival. You may get the mac and cheese of your desires right here, whether you want it spicy, with ketchup, crunchy with breadcrumbs, or creamy like butter.

WHAT IT DOES

More than 15 of the greatest restaurants and food vendors in the neighbourhood will be present to serve you a selection of gourmet Mac & Cheese and meals inspired by Mac & Cheese! A voucher system will be used for all food-related purchases, with sheets of five coupons available for $15. This gives you the greatest chance to sample as many Mac & Cheese spots and types as you can, as well as bigger platters from your favourite seller!

At voucher booths located all across the festival grounds, sheets of vouchers may be obtained. These vouchers can be redeemed for a plate of mac & cheese or other food-related goods. On a typical cash and credit system, there will be a number of bars, beverage stations, and beer gardens providing ice cold beers, fine spirits, water, soda, and other refreshments. Cone cakes, cotton candy, ice cream, water ice, hot chocolate, desserts, and other treats will be available from other vendors.

RISK COMPETITION!

The following contests will receive cash, prizes, and accolades from the Norfolk Mac & Cheese Festival:

Who can consume the most mac and cheese in two minutes? Compete against your other contestants in this event! The first 10 people who fill out the registration papers will be allowed to participate.

Cheese Fries Eating Competition: For all you fans of French fries! You’ll get a huge bucket of cheese fries, and the contestant who finishes the whole bucket will be declared the winner!

Can of Whiz Hold: This one will put your stamina to the test! With a huge can of whiz instead of a beer stein! The winner will be the one who can maintain their balance while holding their can of Whiz in front of them!

CEREMONY FOR AWARDS

The finest in the region will compete to determine who can make the greatest Mac N’ Cheese in the whole country!

The Norfolk Mac & Cheese Festival tickets that have been bought are all final. This is an indoor/outdoor event that takes place rain or shine, thus we do not provide refunds or exchanges. The cost of tickets is liable to rise without prior notice.
