It has returned! The Friday Night Market in The BORO returns in 2022! From April 1, 2022 through October 7, 2022, we will showcase the greatest FOOD TRUCKS in Rutherford County every Friday. In our market, we also have small and local enterprises. Bring the whole family to enjoy delicious cuisine, shopping, live music, and community fun! The market is as enjoyable for merchants as it is for customers.
Every Friday evening, the Murfreesboro community gathers to shop among local merchants and food trucks while listening to live music in the fresh summer air at the Friday Night Market in the Boro.
“We come here every Friday, and we enjoy the atmosphere,” Carla Thompson of AAC Designs said.
Twisted Sisters Creations was founded by Angie Wilson and Kim Rhodes, who enjoy selling their handcrafted things to the public.
“The market is really relaxed, and there is such a broad assortment of people and stuff,” Rhodes explained.
The bulk of merchants and food trucks at the market, such AAC Designs and Twisted Sisters Creations, are local, family-owned companies.
Heather Jones of Drip Chicken said her chicken is unique because of how it is battered and fried.
We’re a family-run business, and we’re here virtually every Friday, so it’s something we look forward to,” Jones said.
As the night draws to a close, sellers begin packing up their stores, and consumers begin to return to their cars, looking about for any last-minute purchases.
Stacey Douglas, 21, said it was her first time attending the Boro’s Friday Night Market.
“I had no idea this was a thing,” Douglas said. “I’m delighted I showed up. There are several culinary and artisan item alternatives. “There is something here for everyone.”
