This summer, join us at Ribfest, one of Kalamazoo’s oldest events, for two days of food, entertainment, and fun!

About this Kalamazoo Ribfest Event 2022

Ribfest is a two-day event sponsored by Seat N Sleep at the Arcadia Creek Festival Place in Downtown Kalamazoo. Ribfest, one of the first downtown events, is currently in its 34th year and draws over 10,000 people each summer.

The Kalamazoo Ribfest proceeds help the Arc Community Advocates, who work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to empower them to live a full life in the community and advocate on their behalf.

The festival offers national and local rib vendors that serve meats marinated in delicious BBQ sauces.

In addition to the rib sellers, there will be more food vendors selling side dishes and sweet desserts to round out the eating experience at Ribfest.

The festival will also feature national rock and country musical performers, local bands, and a variety of fun activities such as children’s crafts/games and the thrilling Best Ribs in Kalamazoo contest. Pop 2000 Tour, Sister Hazel, and Puddle of Mudd are among this year’s headliners.

Q: Do I need to purchase a separate concert ticket?

A: No, your festival entrance covers all of the entertainment.

Q: What is included with the VIP ticket?

A: Have a great day at Ribfest! A private restroom, dining area, and beer trailer are all included with the VIP ticket.

Q: Do you permit re-entry?

A: We enable re-entry before 3 p.m. As you depart the location, you will be given a stamp. No re-entry if no stamp is obtained. If you leave the event after 3 p.m., you will not be able to re-enter.

Q: Is there an age restriction?

A: Children are welcome! We only ask that all children under the age of 17 be accompanied by an adult after 7 p.m. Children under the age of 12 are admitted free of charge to the event.

Q: Are pets permitted?

A: Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the Ribfest grounds. Only service animals with proper identification are permitted.
