It’s pay what you want for this tour! If you enjoy the tour, please compensate your guide appropriately! Please only pay cash! According to how you feel about your trip, you are allowed to give more or less than the standard tip range of $15 to $20 per adult. As you may expect, the tour guide has to put forth a lot of effort to earn your respect!
The cost of the tours has always been up to the participant, but registration is now necessary.
You won’t be able to take part if you don’t reserve a space on the trip through Eventbrite.
Over the years, Raleigh has seen its fair share of murder, mayhem, and other bizarre events. This tour will transport you back in time to some of Raleigh’s strangest and most intriguing real crime stories. Don’t miss these strange, unusual, and enjoyable historical tales!
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL BEGIN OUTSIDE THE STATE ARCHIVES OF NC BUILDING, 109 E. JONES ST., RALEIGH. While you wait for the tour to begin, feel free to hang around on the front steps!
The tour’s route is about a mile long, and the finish line is situated about 1.5 blocks from the beginning.
This tour is NOT suggested for youngsters under the age of 16 due to the adult content of several of the stories and the graphic nature of one of the stories.
The True Crime and Curious Tales Tours last around an hour and a half, but they could go a little longer depending on how big and fast the group is. There won’t be any stops for food or drinks or bathroom breaks.
There is a tonne of free street parking available on Saturdays in the block surrounding the starting location and in neighbouring blocks. Directly across the street from the tour’s beginning location is a surface parking lot.
This is a sizable lot that is also close to the tour’s destination. There are two entrances to this parking lot—one off Jones Street and the other off Edenton Street.
On Saturdays, parking in this lot is free.
